Trypophobia or the fear of holes in the skin can inflict those that don’t take care of their skin. Something as simple as enlarged pores can trigger a trypophobic reaction. Enlarged pores will occur when an individual doesn’t treat their skin properly. The pores in the skin are purposed for the sole reason of allowing the skin to breathe. Proper skin care starts with the individual. If you are concerned over enlarged pores due to you being a trypophobe then take our advice on proper skin care. Wash your skin often, we would recommend that you wash your face at least two times a day minimum since this is where enlarged pores are most likely to occur. Make sure you moisturize the face, dead skin can irritate the face leaving you with swollen and enlarged pores. A microderm abrasion will gently exfoliate the skin removing any dead skin and clogged dirt and oil from your enlarged pores. Don’t wash your skin with anything that may leave it dry or irritated. We would recommend you try to wash with some sort of moisturizer to ensure that your skin stays fresh and young. If you believe you have enlarged pores they make products that minimize large pores. Check your local retail outlet in the skin care section for these products. Don’t overly irritate the skin. Picking and obsessing about already enlarged pores can make the situation even worse by infecting or spreading the problem. Lastly treat your acne properly. There are many over the counter products that you can use so that your pores never become enlarged in the first place. If you have a serious case of acne do not hesitate to visit your dermatologist. The best treatment for acne scars is treating your acne before the problem ever occurs. With proper skin care trypophobia caused by enlarged pores in the skin can be mitigated properly.
